I regularly contributed to social media on behalf of Exodus Place. I used both Facebook and Twitter, adding daily scripture verses, inspirational quotes and messages, and promoting stories and newsletter information about Exodus Place.
Here’s an example of one of the photos I used to encourage our Facebook and Twitter communities.
I also used humor to maintain a positive and fun outlook in our followers.
The painting above has a lot in common with Exodus Place’s motto:
Giving a hand up, not a hand out.
Posts like these were subtle ways of asking followers to consider making a donation to Exodus Place. I also included donation links in the comments sections of both of these posts.
I also have been responsible for posting on Grand Valley’s Study Abroad page every week. This has been a very fun task because I’ve spent time looking up and reading travel articles and photographs. For work, of course. Below are a few of my favorite posts.
I also posted helpful travel abroad articles and fun travel information, like this post:
Visiting India, Southern Europe, or South America? Keep an eye out for wild flamingos! Fun fact: Flamingos can only eat with their heads upside down.
