Kelsey May is a writer and poet and is involved in local nonprofit, social justice, and student activism efforts. Upon graduation this May, she will use her degree in poetry workshops, grant writing, and magazine writing.
Her work has recently appeared in The Maine Review, damselfly, and Paste Magazine and is forthcoming in Barking Sycamores, Broken Plate, and Pine Hills Review. She has also received numerous grants and awards, including a nomination for a 2016 Pushcart Prize, a nomination for a Community Award by the Rapidian, and a grant from Grand Valley State University to write a series of poems about sexual assault and domestic violence, called The V-Card Series. She also loves ice skating and making quiche.
